Sweet Adelines and Grupo Folklorico Alma Tapatia to Perform in Oppenstein Park

Summer in the City, presented by the Downtown Community Improvement District, continues with its August events!

On Wednesday, August 14th at 12:00pm the Kansas City Chorus of Sweet Adelines will bring the park to life. Kansas City Chorus is a vibrant group of more than 60 women who sing the four-part a cappella art form of barbershop harmony. Made up of women of all ages, backgrounds and vocations, the KC Sweet Adelines enrich the lives of our members and communities through education, creative entertainment and competition.  Click here to learn more and RSVP.

On Thursday, August 22nd at 5:00pm, Grupo Folklorico Alma Tapatia will perform. Alma Tapatia exists to promote Mexican culture throughout Kansas City and beyond by offering dance classes to anyone interested in dance and by performing in all types of spaces. Our performances showcase a variety of regions and cultures that exist within Mexico.  Click here to learn more and RSVP.

Join us twice a month from May through September in Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park for music, dance, poetry, food trucks, games and other activities at Oppenstein Park, a pocket park located at 12th and Walnut Streets in Downtown Kansas City.
