Kansas City has made great strides in creating a robust mobility network. Despite this progress, Downtown still feels car-centric, and the bus, bike, and pedestrian networks are incomplete and do not always conveniently connect.

The Downtown Council Annual Luncheon is held every April to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments and set a course for the season ahead. Highlights include the Spirit of Downtown exhibition, a keynote speaker, the presentation of the J. Philip Kirk, Jr. Award, and the Urban Hero Award.
The Art in the Loop Foundation seeks to play a proactive role in bringing attention to Downtown Kansas City, Missouri as a place where exciting, innovative, and accomplished contemporary art is not just happening but is, in fact, helping to define the city’s identity.

Powered by a purpose to ignite Kansas City’s entrepreneurial spirit, LaunchKC invests $500,000 into startups, offering founders a chance to secure $50,000 in funding, and gain access to a host of support services – in exchange for headquartering their business in Kansas City, Missouri for at least one year.
