Haw/Contemporary to open a new exhibition at lightwell space
Haw/Contemporary will celebrate its newest gallery space in Downtown KC on Friday evening with the opening of a solo exhibition, Loose-threads: by Warren Rosser. The exhibition is Rosser’s fourth solo exhibition with Haw/Contemporary and the first at its new lightwell space at 1100 Main St.
You are invited to join the celebration in the Haw Contemporary/lightwell space from 5-8 p.m. Friday on the ground floor of the lightwell building. The event will feature drinks and bites from the Strang Chef Collective, and coffee from Made in KC Cafe, courtesy of lightwell. Free parking will be provided in the lightwell garage.
Loose-threads: is a conjunction of various viewpoints, material processes, and conceptual longings that offer the viewer different avenues to approach the paintings. Rosser is the William T. Kemper Distinguished Professor of Painting, recently retired as Chair of the Painting Department at the Kansas City Art Institute after 28 years.
