Downtown rolls out the All Star welcome mat
All Star Week got off to a flying start on Friday as Downtown Kansas City welcomed fans and visitors by the thousands to Fan Fest and a host of special events.
Families poured into Bartle Hall for day one of the five-day Major League Baseball Fan Fest. Today’s Fan Fest will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Today’s ticket special features a buy 2 get 2 free offer. Tickets are available for sale on site, as well as at www.allstargame.com.
The Saturday lineup of MLB and KC special events includes:
- Free FanatiKCs Trolley in Downtown (8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.)
- Amateurs to All Stars exhibit @ Central Library (10 a.m.-5 p.m.)
- Baseball Spectacular by Bazillion, Quixotic & Substream @ Municipal Auditorium (9:30 p.m.)
- Buck, BBQ & Baseball @ Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (6-10 p.m.)
- David Nail: Hot Country Nights Concert @ Power & Light (7 p.m.)
- Faire Ball: Negro Leagues in America exhibit @ Union Station (opens today)
- Grand Slam Fan Jam w/ David Basse @ Barney Allis Plaza (11 a.m.-8 p.m.)
- Groovalicious Fruit @ City Market (9 a.m.-noon)
- Jay Mohr: Comedy @ the Midland (7 p.m.)
- KC All Star Jazz Band, featuring Danny Embrey @ Blue Room (7 p.m.-1 a.m.)
