Panel to put spotlight on Downtown housing
Downtown Council leaders will take center stage on Wednesday, as The Kansas City Club plays host to a panel discussion on the Downtown Housing Initiative.
Tom Trabon, Bob Langenkamp and Sean O’Byrne will present the panel that focuses on the growing population of Downtown residents and the immediate need for more market-rate housing. They will introduce the audience to new housing units that are already in the pipleine, as well as plans for more development. The luncheon program is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24 at the Kansas City Club, 918 Baltimore.
Trabon is the current chairman of the Kansas City Streetcar Authority and a past chair of the DTC board of directors. He is a certified public accountant and, since 1998, has been involved in the development of more than $150 million of Downtown residential and mixed-use projects.
Langenkamp is the Director of Planning for the City of Kansas City, Missouri and a member of the DTC executive committee. O’Byrne is the Vice President of Business Development for the DTC and a strong leader in identifying and shepherding new housing initiatives.
