‘Stay at home’ order to take effect on Tuesday

Mayor Quinton Lucas on Saturday issued a “Stay at Home” Order, requiring Kansas Citians to stay at home except for “essential activities” as the community continues working to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, and healthcare facilities will remain open.

Community Improvement District (CID) Ambassadors will remain on duty in the Central Business District and River Market as they work to keep the community clean, safe and more attractive.

The Ambassadors are working in close partnership with the KC Police Department to vigilantly watch over Downtown.

The stay-at-home order goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and continues to 11:59 p.m. on April 24.
