Techweek KC welcomes thousands to Day 4
An estimated 5,000 Techweek attendees are settling into Downtown Kansas City this week, as the inaugural Techweek Kansas City conference + festival continues to build toward its programming climax today and with the LaunchKC final round of judging and selection of 10 grant recipients coming on Friday.
Techweek KC began its ascent on Monday with a sold-out Grand Opening Party at Boulevard Brewery; the sold-out Grand Tour of Downtown technology businesses – including DSI, Valorem Consulting, Sprint Accelerator, Think Big Partners and Corrigan Station on Tuesday; and the jammed Big Data Summit on Wednesday; sold-out receptions with Lead Bank, Uber, VML and KC Drones on Wednesday night.
Techweek will be rockin’ today, as the conference enters Day 4 in Kansas City. Thursday will be the busiest Techweek day this week with some stellar highlights including presentations (in order of appearance) by:
- The Hon. Sly James, Mayor of Kansas City
- Techweek Expo, featuring more than 100 exhibitors, including 60 LaunchKC applicants (10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday)
- Jonathan Badeen, co-founder of Tinder
- Day 2 of the Big Data Summit with sessions throughout the day
- Hiring Fair in the Live Block at the Power & Light District
