3 Dynamic Dance Companies to Perform in Oppenstein Park during June

Tristian Griffin Dance Company, Regina Klenjoski Dance Company, and Voler: Thieves of Flight will perform in Oppenstein Park in June as part of the “Summer in the City” activation series produced by the Downtown KC Community Improvement District!

Experience the park like never before as we bring contemporary dance to unexpected places, transforming the environment and sparking your imagination. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see the park come alive with the energy and creativity of two of the region’s premier contemporary dance companies!

 

Converge II: New Spaces, June 12, 12-1:30 p.m.

“CONVERGE II: New Spaces,” a dance performance features premiering works by four dynamic choreographers, Natasha Adorlee, Elaine Kimble, and directors Tristian Griffin and Regina Klenjoski with performances by Tristian Griffin Dance Company and Regina Klenjoski Dance Company.

Voler: Thieves of Flight Aerial Acrobatics, June 27, 5-6:30 pm

Voler: Thieves of Flight, is an aerial and cirque-style entertainment group creating family-friendly, extravaganza-style, high-flying, fun shows. As they charm audiences with daring flair, their intention is to inspire and delight viewers with high-flying feats of skill, strength, and beauty.

Summer in the City takes place twice a month with music, dance, poetry, food trucks, games and other activities at Oppenstein Park, a pocket park located at 12th and Walnut Streets in Downtown Kansas City.  Visit this link for a schedule of upcoming performances.
