Downtown Council Brings Music and Dance to Downtown Parks in September

The Downtown Council, through its affiliated organizations Downtown Community Improvement District and Art in the Loop, is presenting a unique and interesting set of performances to Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park and Garment District in September. These performances highlight talented local musicians and provide a refreshing break for Downtown employees, residents and visitors alike – bring a chair and your own refreshments or take advantage of the participating food trucks.  All performances are free and open to the public.

Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park (12th & Walnut)

• Wednesday, Sep. 11, 12:00 p.m., Summer in the City presents Kat King
• Wednesday, Sep. 18, 5:30 p.m., Art in the Loop resents music and dance by:

• Thursday, Sep. 26, 5:00 p.m., Summer in the City presents Brad Cox & Assembly of Joyful Noise

Garment District Park (8th & Broadway)

• Wednesday, Sep. 18, 11:30 a.m. Garment District Grooves presents Stan Kessler & Friends with Sugar Skull Grill Food Truck
• Wednesday, Sep 25, 5:00 p.m. Garment District Grooves presents Sisters & Strings Infusion with KC Cocktail and Sweet & Salty Snickety Snack Bar.

The Summer in the City Series is brought to you by the Downtown Community Improvement District (DCID), in partnership with Jackson County, Art in the Loop and area businesses.
